Ayursatwa’s verdant green is crafted from turmeric and indigo, making this dye super-charged with the healing properties of both these medicinal plants. Both turmeric and indigo are used in Ayurveda and traditional medicine for their anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. Newborns and infants are often swaddled in fabric that has been dyed and treated with indigo or turmeric.


This vibrant shade of green is associated with the Anahata or Heart Chakra located at the center of the chest. NOTES:
All our dye baths are prepared with kashyam, an Ayurvedic concoction of medicinal herbs. The dye bath is energetically charged with an invocation of the Gayatri mantra. 

Threads are triple-washed with fresh water and soapnut to reduce color bleeding and fading.
Care for your naturally dyed products by washing with a gentle cleanser like soapnut and air drying in the shade.
Keep out of direct sunlight to avoid uneven fading of color.
